Old school GB fanatics (you know which one you are) know that we've always been big fans of The Safe Sippy. It's great-looking, practical, easy to clean, and doesn't soak your kids' clothing when tipped over.
Well, the mad geniuses behind the original Safe Sippy are at it again, and lucky for us, they're more creative with their design than they are with their naming skills...lo and behold, The Safe Sippy 2.
On second thought, why ruin a good name...and the Safe Sippy's reputation is golden indeed. In fact, for those classic Safe Sippy lovers out there, you'll be glad to know that the Deuce, as we like to call it here at GB headquarters, is an evolutionary concept. All the features of the inaugural Safe Sippy remain intact - free of BPA (bisphenol-A), phthalates and DEHA (another nasty plasticizer akin to phthalates), no spill-spout, light, durable, non-leaching medical-grade stainless steel container, easy-grip thermoplastic rubber sleeve for additional insulation and protection, removable handles, dishwasher safe and available in 3 bold colors.
But before you start thinking the Safe Sippy folk went all, um, safe on us, they've actually been paying close attention to customer feedback, leading to the introduction of one super cool trick on this new model. You see, The Safe Sippy 2 can be used as either a sippy cup or a straw cup. A hybrid, if you will - and you know how much we like hybrids.
How'd they pull it off? Magic, of course. And a little industrial design. Using a simple adapter, you can swap sippy for straw or straw for sippy in a snap. Plus, the Safe Sippy 2 now sports a clear plastic dust cap to keep it clean, a softer, thermoplastic rubber-covered spout for your child's sensitive mouth, and a travel plug for completely leak-proof goodness when dry purses and pants are at a premium.
And if you just love the retro vibe, the original Safe Sippy is still available here, while supplies last of course. Hey, they may just become a collector's item.
