Little Green Star isn't some faceless manufacturer. It's a small San Francisco-based company founded in 2006 by two women - a geologist and a hydrologist - who share a passion for building a brighter future for children. So they conceived a line of organic baby clothing and accessories that would not only be stylish and adorable, but also incorporate clever messages of environmental conservatism.

Why is organic cotton a better choice? Because it is produced without the use of harsh chemicals, bleaches or dyes, meaning it won't irritate your child's sensitive skin and spares the environment from the damage caused by harsh pesticides used in conventional cotton production.

What's so special about water-based inks? Unlike conventional inks, water-based inks are free of plasticizers - a known carcinogen - and contain no PVC or petroleum-based solvents, which both destroy the environment and decrease a fabric's breathability. Water-based inks create a breathable garment with excellent washability, keeping their color wash after wash. Plus, they give you superpowers.*
